Description
The following ingredients can/will be in our feed rations, and may be adjusted seasonally, or from year to year depending on how well each crop yields.
- Corn (ear corn, we grind the whole ear usually) – we grow specific non-gmo corn varieties, and our seed comes from DeDell Seeds https://www.dedellseeds.com/
- Barley
- Hulless oats
- Field peas
- Buckwheat (only sometimes and included in small amounts)
- Faba beans
- Flax meal: this is not always included, but we use flax meal to keep the protein levels up if we run out of homegrown field peas or faba beans before the next year’s crop is available.
- Poultry Grower Mineral Premix from Bio-Ag in Wellesley, ON (see picture of tag for ingredient list).
