Traditionally the only sweetener used in yogurt was raw honey. Unpasteurized organic honey is packed with polyphenols ( powerful antioxidants), phytonutrients (immune-boosting anti-bacterial, antifungals) and is a potent prebiotic (which helps to nourish healthy yogurt bacteria to multiply in the intestines). Our Yogurts are the only Certified Grass-Fed and Organic Yogurts in Ontario. Additionally, they are the only Yogurt made of Jersey Cow milk and consequently have up to 30% more protein than regular Holstein cow milk. Jersey milk is also 20% higher in calcium and richer in micronutrients; minerals and vitamins (the golden hue of Jersey milk is due to its high beta carotene levels). Jersey cows produce A2 β-casein protein milk which some find easier to digest. Our honey Yogurt has a cream top as we do not homogenize the milk; several studies have claimed that non-homogenized milk does not contribute to arteriosclerosis. We bottle this exclusive line of products in recyclable glass to avoid the risk of endocrine disruptors leaching from bottles made of PET (plastic).
