Focusing on short season, and regionally adapted seeds. we are working to acclimatize varieties to work better here, adapt to our changing climate by being able to withstand variable weather patterns.

All our seeds are open pollinated, non-GMO. Most come from heritage varieties passed down from generations of farmers.

Description

Brassica oleracea

This is a hardy heritage kale variety. Curly leaves are great eatten as baby or as mature leaves. Leaves can be picked weekly to have kale throughout the season.

100+ seeds per pack

Growing Kale: can be direct seeded or tranplanted. Frost tolerent and favours cooler weather. For baby kale, direct seed 12 seeds per foot, with 4″-6″ between rows bi-weekly throughout the season to havea continuous supply. For large leaf kale, plant minimum of 12″ apart, harvesting large leafs at base. Kale will grow large stalk to be continuously harvested all season.
