Forest and Farm

Jennifer & Jonathan from Forest and Farm have always had a love of growing things, and placed a high priority on self-sufficiency! They also share a deep desire to encourage and mentor others in the journey of Reconnection to our Roots. Originally from Blue Mountain and Pickering, Jennifer & Jonathan connected several years ago whilst harvesting carrots at an organic teaching farm in Hillsburgh ON. Commanda became our family's new shared home in August of 2021, and we immediately took on the massive endeavor of converting an unmanaged forest and oversized turf lawn into an intentionally protected green and learning space and plenty of vegetable gardens, and a mini orchard.
