Forest and Farm

 

Jennifer & Jonathan from Forest & Farm have always had a love of Nature and of growing things, and placed a high priority on self-sufficiency! They also share a deep desire to encourage and mentor others in the journey of Reconnection to our Roots.

Originally from Blue Mountain and Pickering, Jennifer & Jonathan connected several years ago whilst harvesting carrots at an organic teaching farm in Hillsburgh ON. Commanda became their family's new shared home in August of 2021, and they immediately took on the massive endeavor of converting an unmanaged forest and oversized turf lawn into intentionally protected green and learning spaces, plenty of vegetable gardens, an apiary, and a mini orchard.

Since that time, they have created their Foraged and Homegrown Product Lines to include many various value-added products, such as Preserves, Jams & Jellies, Beneficial Teas, Soothing Salves, Syrups, Spices & More.

These two have also been working hard to get the infrastructure in place to offer Hands-On, Skills-Based Workshops, coming in 2025!
