Located in the Little Claybelt just west of New Liskeard, we produce grass-fed beef, pasture-raised lamb, and pastured chickens. Our lambs are also fed hay and/or haylage, mostly from our own farm and whole local barley. They also get salt and Excel sheep mineral from Floradale Feeds.

Here at Pasture Hill Farm, we pride ourselves on our care management practices! Our cattle herd is primarily Red Angus, with some Speckle Park & Black Angus bloodlines mixed in. Most of our calving happens outside, naturally, in May/June, out on beautiful, lush pastures. Our herd spends from May to late October on our pastures here at home, as well as out on our rented community pastures. Come wintertime, when our Cows “Come Home,” they are fed a mix of dried hay & haylage with additional early-cut grassy baleage offered to our calves. Calves are weaned in March onto similar baleage to what they have been eating all winter.  Our calves/yearlings are back to pasture in late May. Our age for slaughter is about 18 months. Over their life spans, they are not fed any grain or supplements aside from a 1:1 beef mineral & blue salt to ensure their vitamin & mineral intakes are adequate to balance out what is naturally missing from our region's soil. Our management practices include our vet-recommended Vaccination & Deworming Schedule.
